Back to School...

Writer's picture: CounsellorKaitCounsellorKait

This will be the first of a few posts about heading back to school in the next couple of weeks. I will be posting for parents, kids, teachers, and whoever stumbles upon this blog :) I will offer some tips and tricks to help stay as calm as you can during this time of transition (going back to school or whatever this may look like for you!), as well as advice and opinions (which do not reflect opinions of my district or school), and other bits of information.

So...here we go!

Can you believe it?! We are FINALLY going back to school after what seems to be after a lifetime of being away! Excited? Nervous? Anxious? Happy? Sad? Scared? All of the above? Same here. Know that these feelings are okay to have, and normal to have.

What school will look like in a few weeks is based off of recommendations from the Department of Health (the people that help keep ourselves and everyone around us safe and healthy), the district (who also are looking out for all our best interests), and the school we go to or work at (who also [believe it or not] do care about each and every one of us and have our best interests at heart too). So, if you are a parent, stay tuned to your emails, school and district social media posts, and posts from the government (gnb.ca). Try to be patient with the newer rules and regulations....it might be tough...it might be frustrating....it might even seem daunting. Try to take things one day at a time, be patient, and know that even though we have to be physically distant in a lot of cases and environments, we are all in this together.
